Senna - The Movie

Saw this Sunday night at the Duke of Yorks, Brighton. I always knew how good Ayrton Senna was as an F1 driver though before his unfortunate death back in the early 1990's I remember being slightly put off by some of  his 'godly' quotes. What the film did explain very well was the F1 politics that worked against him at times, the worshipping of his Brazilian fans and perhaps some of the worst crashes Formula One has seen. The result was an engrossing documentary making a change from the big budget sequels that the summer will be churning out. Good to see the cinema packed out to proving motor racing's popularity.
