I haven't read the Douglas Coupland book but am aware of its topic. This film trailer of the Jpod movie looks very unfunny.

I've managed to buy some Mighty Boosh tour tickets for Brighton Dome a day before their release thanks to the Modwolves club I'm a member of. It's finally paid off and will hopefully get front row seats for their live show next November. The same club/mailing list also promoted a great cartoon joke book called 'Don't arm wrestle a pirate' which the above image is from. Perfect as a Christmas present. They also have a MySpace entry which features more drawings.

Not too much happening lately. The accommodation honeymoon period is over and I'm now worrying about where to live when I move to Brighton. Notice I've used 'I' instead of 'we' as playing with the idea of being a lodger or doing student digs which could be fun or not. Our uni harbour side flat can be rented longer helping the flexibility. House chain still stagnant and we considered being unfaithful to the Brighton house we love. Saw two places on Saturday and although they were cheap flirts they didn't match our high demands. We also saw a place for summer rent found on Gumtree but the lady jacked the price up to £1500 a month. Somehow I don't think she thought it through especially saying bills worked out as £300 a month! TV cold turkey Starting to deal with 5 channel tv tedium. I've actually found myself switching it off as if the addiction's wearing off. Rediscovered reading (Rant by Chuck Palaniuk) and playing the Gameboy (Pheonix Wright 2) ...

Poor Kerry. After a weekend of festivals, a crappy cold came over her then esculated into tonsillitis. Friday evening drew the Madonna tickets episode to an end. All week I had been watching other ebay auctions close and expected a loss but I didn't even get my reserve price and had to offer them at at a £150 below cost! Tonight, Kerry will be entertained by the greedy pop-bitch herself in the company of Tony, her old friend/hairdresser. Not much else to report really with nursing duties. Saw Transamerica on DVD which was very good. The Desperate Housewife actress was really convincing as a pre-op. Current read is Samurai William by Giles Milton . Quite a mature subject about the first Westerners to experience Japan and their journey to get there. Personal highlights so far are Portuguese noting the difference on how Japanese pick their noses, encountering savage tribes in South America mutating outsiders by cutting off their 'cod' (balls), slaying 100's of penguins f...
