Long weekend

Image
Thursday night was another quiz and unfortunately, another failure to win. With Donna joining our over-subscribed team we were split into two but both of us came in last place. Friday was a family day with 7 year old niece Morgan being the centre of attention. Shame the weather couldn't repeat last weekend's roasting. Instead we introduced Morgan to some quality anime , Spirited Away - hopefully she'll go off that Hannah Montana and turn to some quality merchandise! Saturday, we turned our attention to getting some costumes for my cousin's wedding in two weeks. He's arranged a murder mystery with an 1899 theme. Kerry didn't have much luck but has arranged a visit to a costume hire place next week whereas I've got a ' steam punk ' look using existing wardrobe items, a bowtie and Sherlock style pipe. Just need the bushy ginger moustache to complete the look. The evening was a night out at Audio where the Schtumm! DJs were joined by Jon Kahuna. There w...

Whilst searching for unusual Christmas presents I came across the Forbidden Planet website and saw these. They're on pre-order only at the moment but supposedly in time for Christmas. (Click on each photo to pre-order and view more details). For £20 you get two characters at 4.5 inches high designed by Pete Fowler, who does the Monsterism series.

Hansel & Gretel vs. Godzilla

Last Sunday I had a shopping splurge buying this T-shirt. Completely mad design and just thought it was from the mind of some weird designer trying to combine a Star Wars reference and other random things. As I described it to a work colleague I decided to type in the above heading as keywords into Google to see what would come up. Amazingly, the image is actually a Tim Burton film that was only once transmitted on the Disney Channel and has never been seen again. According to Slash Film blog , he made this short film in 1982 and can not be bought, downloaded or seen again. Hänsel und Gretel vs Godzilla By Keptn EMPYSTRING

4 deck view

4 deck view Originally uploaded by Ginger DJ . 4 DJs, 4 decks, 1 CDDJ deck, 2 laptops and 2 mixers were ready to used when we returned from SW4. It took over about a quarter of the spare room and we had to crawl under the table for access. The previous night was scrambe through my collection for tracks with acapellas and minimal beats which paid off for the first hour. However, no-one was interested in dancing. A few others returned from SW4 plus Paul and Sarah looking like trucker Ying and angel Yang. Roger took over the DJing duties with some cracking tunes gaining some dancefloor support and I took on club photographer role. A few hours later Kev and Paul played for a bit with Paul mastering the effects firing up the full dancefloor (8 at a push). Paul couldn't resist putting on some cheese, some gay anthem I'm sure and I couldn't resist slapping him for it! As dawn broke, my weary bones called for a bed which was alittle awkward for everyone as our make-shi...
