Found some great web content this week and for anyone not following me on Twitter or Facebook here's a summary of what I've found this week. After Saturday's double celebration of Kerry and Sukey's birthday, the thought of another mad night out was way down on my wish list. Still, after seeing the Star Wars video Chris Cunningham had done I was looking forward to similar music brilliance. For some reason I thought we had standing tickets but we'd somehow booked seating at the Brighton Dome which was perfect. We'd come into halfway of the one of the warm-up acts, Beak> (that's not a spelling error by the way). At first they sounded awful as they distorted electric guitar and pots 'n' pans rock sound but after a couple more songs and swapping of instruments their sound transformed past the distortion into a rich, eerie but lo-fi soundscape. I noticed their merchandise stand only had their album on vinyl plus some really cool t-shirts (later bought). They have a blog too called Dream of Beak . So, that was an interesting week. I wish I was feeling better to appreciate it more to make snowmen and other things. A snotty cold I'd picked up couldn't be shaken off so grumpiness was at maximum. Cabin fever also increased as the week progressed particularly with Kerry as I was (un)lucky to be able to get into work. Lucky as it was warmer than home! Caught up with a lot of TV recorded over the break as well as some good DVDs borrowed. Can recommend The Wrestler and Step Brothers . Forgot to mention we saw Avatar 3D between Christmas and NYE which was excellent, though a little too long. Tried to move the car from its frozen position on our road Saturday but failed which scuppered my plan to go snowboarding at Stanmer Park. Saturday night was a catch up with good friends at the Globe then a carry-on at Sukey's. Sunday was more successful with the car as temperatures seem to be rising. Last night, it seemed that no one under the age of 25 had heard or experienced the excellence and majesty that is The Bays at the Concorde 2 (why they bother keeping the number I'll never know). It was a bit of a late for a band as the line-up had some very experimental warm-up acts including Fidgital (great name but the violin and hip-hop starty-stoppy act wasn't my bag), Puncture Kit (I don't remember seeing them stage but apparently use a bicycle as a bass drum. Wouldn't the spokes get in the way?) and new favourite Brighton DJ for us, Natural Self . Most of the crowd waiting the Bays were enjoying the DJ who I could only describe as using those moody, breakbeat, tech-step (I have just created a new music genre?) rhythms and sounds that perhaps DJ Shadow or UNKLE used to use. I always like being the first to share new things but never chocolate - its all mine, mine, mine! Mixing two passions of mine, chocolate and marketing , this is going to be everywhere very soon. Loving this trailer for the forthcoming Assassin's Creed 2 from Ubisoft . They've used a Justice track, Genesis I think. The graphics looks amazing, as you'd expect with Renaissance Italy as the backdrop. Enjoy!

I don't often check Jackson Publick's blog (creator of the Venture Brothers ) that often as he doesn't write that regularly but today I noticed an exciting entry of Season 4 preview. There's a great quote of "I love Hitler and Hitler loves me!" with some Nazis featured in an episode. With a key character leaving in the last episode of Season 3 (won't ruin it for those haven't seen it) there are some clues as to who will replace that person.

Couldn't believe I saw this through Facebook but there it was, an advert for a new film, straight to video, for a full-length feature starring the Flight of Conchords main cast including Murray! The film has its own website which interestingly is a co.uk site and not a co.nz. The cover looks slightly dodgy as well to be a little suspicious of its credibility. There's a trailer to view as well but I haven't found any reviews to say whether its any good or not. The website quotes Talksport Magazine review "as funny as Shaun of the Dead , more horrific than Severance". I've never heard of TalkSport but it looks like a Nuts clone for sport billys. W ednesday night was a fun one out with Viv and baby Amy as we took them to Brighton's finest fried finery, Bardsleys for an expensive fish and chip dinner. The staff are really friendly, there's a wine menu and their reputation for quality was proven with the best chips ever. The owner was very chatty and, as he was hanging around the entrance Norman Cook walked past and said hello. Weirdly he was carrying a large bin bag. The owner told us that Steve Coogan and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley from Harry Potter ) were also regular customers. Saturday started with a delivery of this Daft Punk cartoon artwork for our decorating masterplan. Domestic , a french decor website specialises in cool wall stickers to liven up plain walls.
